About Me

I have worked 13 years in Public Education. My years as a public school educator have helped me discover the importance of furthering my own education. My journey of discovery is currently validated through the experiences in research and analysis that I encounter daily as the Title I Coordinator of Accountability for Hampton City Schools. My role consists of program analysis, monitoring schools accreditation and AYP status, and reporting schools performance based on local benchmark assessments.

My experience started as a music and classroom teacher striving to make a difference for children led me to seek a masters degree in educational leadership, which in turn opened new doors of opportunity. My leadership skills were a valuable asset as a Technology Curriculum Integration Specialist and a building level administrator. The culmination of my work experience led me to my current job. This position utilizes my ability and skills in data analysis to assist schools to address student achievement. I train, consult, and coach principals, instructional leaders, and teachers on best practices for data analysis. Much of my time is spent not only performing data analysis, but providing research to support best practices used in schools.
